Fort Amazen challenges those brave enough to enter its sprawling twists and turns. Compete against your friends to see who reaches the center first while spectators are standing on the observatory cheer you on.

Make it even more fun with a Maze Passport. Punch your start time then mark unique stops along the way. Punch your end time once you finally make it to the end. Once you make it through the first time, discounts are offered for all additional attempts so you can best your time. You can work as a team or race against your friends. No matter what, you’ll have fun getting lost and found. The friendly staff is always on hand to help just in case!

Located on Catawba Avenue, about a mile from downtown, Perry’s Cave is the center of fun on Put-in-Bay. This island institution has been delighting families for years, and visits to Perry’s is undoubtedly an island tradition.

It is easy to enjoy an entire day here or make several visits while staying on the island. The whole centers built around Perry’s Cave, a limestone cave with an underground lake. The ecology of Put-in-Bay is fascinating and unique, and Perry’s Cave shows off how entertaining this little island is. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry discovered the cave in 1813, where it proved helpful in quenching his troops’ thirst when they needed it the most. A tour of Perry’s Cave is a must before or after a run through Fort Amazen.
