Arts On Erie! Be An Artist For the Day September 10th
Art In The Park is a wonderful affair in downtown Put-in-Bay taking place during the annual Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend. Held in DeRivera Park, the event includes dozens of craftspeople and artisans to convey their love of art to the community.
You can visit the park and enjoy the artist’s exhibits and work in progress. There will also be pieces available for purchase that can act as the ideal souvenir to take with you, either for yourself or as a present for the family.
Arts On Erie In DeRivera Park will also feature a silent auction to raise funds for local charities!
There will be opportunities for all to participate in activities. The art community thrives at Put-in-Bay thanks to this event. With the natural beauty of South Bass Island as inspiration, you’ll feel the island spirit in all of these works. Many pieces of local island artwork will be available in the auction, which aids the Put-in-Bay Arts Council. It’s a wonderful way to get an excellent Put-in-Bay keepsake while also supporting a cause worth supporting.
However, the best part of Arts On Erie The Park may be the live demonstrations!
Bring the entire family and discover how to perform various types of art in hands-on demonstrations by island artists. It runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in lovely DeRivera Park, right in the middle of the downtown Put-in-Bay area. Entry is free, and you can come and go as you wish to appreciate the great shopping and many fabulous restaurants in downtown Put-in-Bay! Arts On Erie & Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend
Art In The Park is part of the Put-in-Bay Ohio Historical Weekend. This weekend is one of the best weekends of the year to bring the entire family up to the island. Many unique all-ages events and activities are going on all over the island. The Grand Parade on Sunday is one of the highlights of the weekend. There will be 1812 historical re-enactments and a massive Boy Scouts camping event at the Parry Peace Memorial. Attractions to See After Arts on Erie
After the kids have gotten their craft fix, be sure to check out some of the island’s attractions. Kimberly’s Carousel is a Put-in-Bay Classic for kids! The turn-of-the-century preserved carousel is one of the last of its kind. Your whole family can ride together on the restored horses as well. This attraction is really close to several other Put-in-Bay favorites, located right in the middle of downtown. Try the kid’s choice for the most popular bar, The Candy Bar! Located next door.
