This popular restaurant offers a wide variety of menu items. On weekends in season, a buffet serves up heaping plates of delicious and filling food at reasonable prices. The bar features a happy hour offered daily. This spot is open from until 9 pm daily. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily.
Specializing in seafood and steaks, the menu also features fresh Lake Erie Perch. Tippers’ buffet and menu items are impressive in size and quality. The weekend special buffets are fast and always a hit!. The Seafood Buffet is served every Friday evening, beginning at 5 pm. On Saturday, a Prime Rib buffet is offered. Tippers Restaurant serves a bountiful breakfast buffet every Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 8 am. You will enjoy all your favorite breakfast items, including pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruits, and juices. The regular menu starts at noon on weekends features Lake Erie Fresh Perch and Walleye. Other specialties include spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, and wings.
Beer Barrel Saloon
Offering a live entertainment schedule from April to October, the Beer Barrel is a favorite of both locals and tourists alike. Live music begins in May on the weekends, and the calendar expands to daily events June through August. The calendar is then paired down to weekends once fall arrives. Some of the best musicians and bands in the region play at the Beer Barrel Saloon. This includes Captain Sweet Shoes, Dan Stewart, Kenny Kidd, The Menus, and Mustang Sally, to name a few. An outside patio is a perfect place to enjoy those island breezes, a great drink, and good tunes!
Taller than Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument, the 405 foot, 10-inch bar located in the Beer Barrel Saloon is massive! This impressive bar features 56 beer taps, 160 bar stools, and a seating capacity of over 1,200. On busy nights the bar employs over 20 bartenders and also opens two extra bars in the back and side of the building. This spot can get pretty crowded. Everyone loves coming to the Beer Barrel!
Tippers Restaurant and the Beer Barrel Saloon are both located at the site of the old Colonial Building. This beautiful wooden structure tragically burned down in 1988. During its almost 100-year history, the Colonial Building was home to a variety of businesses, from a dance hall to a skating rink, and also a bowling alley.
