Fishbowl Restaurant & Bar
The Fishbowl at Put-in-Bay is locals and tourists hang out on the island. The historical building was renovated recently and provides guests with a comfortable dining environment. The deck on the south side of the building has been expanded and offers great views of the vibrant downtown area.
The Fishbowl Particulars
The Fishbowl is situated on Catawba Avenue and shares the building as Mossbacks. The building is known as the Valentine Doller building and played a significant role in Put-in-Bay History. The Victorian structure bears the inscription V. Doller on the front. Valentine Doller was a leading Put-in-Bay developer serving as its first postmaster and eventually became the mayor!
DeRivera Park is located across the street as well. This well-manicured park features playgrounds, BBQ grills, and numerous historical plaques and monuments. If you are arriving on the Jet Express Ferry Terminal, the Fishbowl is just a short block walk away. You can get off the ferry and make the Fishbowl one of your first stops!

The bar is known to be quirky yet fun and interactive. The large drinks are popular, and you’ll see them at many stops as the glass is yours to keep! A local DJ playing the most popular tracks is the norm on weekends, and on occasion, you’ll enjoy an occasional musician with a live performance. Let’s call the vibe upscale-casual and defined! Check out the super handsome bar made of dark wood, as well as the decor and atmosphere.
The service is casual yet efficiant and in season Mossbacks is also open for breakfast. Close to the downtown Put-in-Bay Docks, this is a great place to grab a quick breakfast. All food is available carryour as well!

While Mossbacks shares the same menu as the Fishbowl, the drink menu, as well as the atmosphere, is entirely different! You’ll find a more extensive wine list and drink menu, as well as more of a focus on dining. Pinot Grigio, White Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Select from numerous imported or domestic beers.
